yes of course. You can create a track style that doesn't have a backbone. As for the track connectors. I always create those just like regular ties from the plugin and then use the align tool to align them to existing ties on the track.

Thanks for the answer. So you place each support connectors one by one?

yes exactly. Unless you want all of them to be equally spaced. Then you could do a pass with support connectors as connector ties.

Ok, as I'm new to 3Ds max, I'll try to do it. I might have some more questions while doing it.

Hey, I'm gonna be figuring this out soon but just wanted to check. Is there any way to add these pieces to a tilt track or anything? I'm assuming you can, but I'm just a little confused on what to do

I'm not sure exactly how the 3ds Track Importer works, but I think if you create a section of track that you want to be on the tilt track and use this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwkdQg6LdcA to attach it to a dummy tilt track (with invisible segment toggled) you could get the same effect.

That's what I figured I had to do, I'll figure something out. I wanted to make something similar to Circuit Breaker, I read before that you can make sections of track so I think that's the way to do it haha

The easiest way would be to manually create the piece of straight track for your tilt section and then use the plugin to create the rest of the track

I am following the instructions carefully and I'm not sure what's happening. When I go to generate track, I get a MAXScript Rollout Handeler Excepetion window that pops up and in that window are different promps telling me what's wrong. The first one says "no "execute" function for undefined, the rest is information about the file I picked and where it's stored. Is there a fix for this?

Are you the same person who also left me a comment on YouTube? Your rail and spine need to be editable splines. If you keep having trouble feel free to dm me a download link of your template and I'll have a look.

Hey PvM, do you have any Idea of how to import the supports into 3DS max. I am trying to 3d print my coaster, but don't know how to import the supports.

Everything looks fine until I finalize it then the left rail right rail and backbone just end up being a big flat blob of colours that are like 3 times the size of the track what is wrong?

I haven't heard anyone experiencing that before.. Could you dm me a link to your max-file and csv? And what coaster style are you trying to generate? I'll investigate.
