Vekoma Rides has been acquired by Sansei Technologies
Press release
hahahahaha im scared
Can't wait to watch them run another company into the ground.
Wait what
What do we know about Sansei Technologies?
And another one bites the dust
I guess selling Eight Free Spins, Two El Locos, an Invert, and Gale Force, totalling more than 40% of their total coaster catalog, is considered being run into the ground. Not to mention more on the way.
vekoma will continue to operate as vekoma. Don't worry they won't become S&S v2
This buyout is literally just S&S looking over Vekoma's shoulders, they will continue to be two completely different companies.
Twist Coaster Robin 2 when?
Really interesting documentary from David Ainsworth!

Vekoma unveiled another one of their layouts today for two Fantawild Parks. I really cant wait to see if more rides like this make their way over to the USA or Europe
That first inversion looks fantastic
Everything about that looks amazing... The train, the carrier station/launch....
^It does look good, I hope its got plenty of ejector air!
What ever has happened at Vekoma looks to be a good thing. We need one of these new gen Vekoma's in America now.
I like it a lot up through that first overbank. Then it gets to be too simple with the banking and lack of force variation, just like the other new Vekomas. The first inversion should be really cool though as someone mentioned.
What's the force variation you're talking about? I mean, you can't get more force variation than on Lech Coaster.
Wasn't an early complaint about Lech Coaster that it didn't appear to have much force variation?
(I even think I remember King saying that it looked like Vekoma FVDed it and left the positive Gs at 3.5 the whole time, later taking it back after he rode.)
Haha, certainly not. I liked Bermuda Blitz/Lech Coaster since the first announcement.
Althought yeah, some members of NLE/NLC have criticised these coasters with such statement. Personally, I don't really understand why you could say that on a model such as Lech Coaster.
Now for the Top Gun one, I must admit I'm not that much of a fan. There are indeed a lot of turns that held a constant positive force in the middle section, and I'm not a fan of that (disliked Freischütz because of that).

I like the look of those trains. Just needs a tail fin/fins on the rear car. A little moulded afterburner shroud wouldn't go astray either, unless it already has one.
Just recently i had the idea of trying to re-create the launched wing coaster with the aircraft carrier station/theming from Planet Coaster.
And now i see this, lol.
Exactly as BigBad said. They look just like when you design something in FVD/Newton, set a positive force for 15 seconds, and edit banking in the hopes that it resembles something decent. It completely lacks finesse and ends up like random curves rather than well defined and thought-out shapes, flow, pacing, etc.

Yet everyone who rode one of those newer rides loved it, so is it that bad? No it's just a different design.
Even if a layout looks "ugly" it can still be a ton of fun.
Not everyone who rode one of those newer rides loved it. It's not "bad," I just don't like it for the reasons I said.

Sorry for the double-post, but I called a friend and he told me ZWAHLEN & MAYR SA was the european sub-contractor for B&M track and supports. But if you look at the website, no mention of B&M is made, so maybe they stopped being a partner.
If you missed it, I listed here some other sub-co for B&M:
