Hangtime has begun testing!
wow I didn't think testing would start so soon. It didn't even look like they have a panel installed lol. It goes way faster than I was expecting. The renders made it look fast but usually most renders are slightly exaggerated.

Oh my god that's one of the sexiest coasters I've ever seen.
Meanwhile twisted timbers has also started testing over at KD.
How exciting! The end of the off season is approaching!
RMC posted on FB last night a video of Twisted Timbers testing as well.
Alton Towers just posted this video on Wickerman! https://en-gb.facebook.com/altontowersresort/
^I'm sure everyone is sick of me bashing on Wickerman by now, but while my opinions are still exactly the same now as they were before (it looks dull and weak for a CGI) I will 100% say that the theming is actually super badass. I love that the structure essentially "explodes" as the train passes through it. If AT was good at one thing, it has to be the creepy/horror vibe they seem to tie in with every ride they make. As a huge horror fan I really dig it.
I just wish they could've done more with the layout. I think the coaster itself is weak compared to literally any other coaster in the park (excluding 13 and other family rides) yet it still manages to hold some of the most intense theming I've ever seen haha.
^ Give it a week after ride opening and I guarantee all the effects will break and never function again.
check those awesome behind-the-scenes pics at Steel Vengeance from CoasterForce!

Holy freakin' moly.
New Drone Video from Alton Towers showing off Wicker Man, and even has some offride shots
Decided to take it into a video editor and see what it would look like if the pacing was altered ever so slightly too, just to see either:
A. How fast it might run, or
B. how fast it could have run if there was some kind of fast lift system
Not that much faster (only 0.25%), but there is def a difference
Looks a little slow at the end, but other then that it looks amazing!
Hopefully it speeds up, right now it looks pretty boring imo.
^I think twisted timbers might be like storm chaser. Storm chaser was crawling to the brake run when it first opened and now it's hauling. Also the cars look really big for some reason
If I have a knock on a lot of the RMC conversions, it's that they tend to kind of end with a whimper, especially in contrast to the elements in the first half of the ride. This... looks pretty consistent with that.

You and I have very different definitions of boring. Did you even see the first 3 hills?
^The triple airtime hills look amazing imo.
It will rival el toro in at least in extreme airtime because of those three hills. they look absurd and they will eventually haul ass through them. Its gonna be ejector air.

I wasn't referring to the layout, I was referring to how slow the entire ride felt. None of those 3 hills looked like they had much going on, same with really the entire layout.
There’s always one person that says a ride looks slow, no matter how fast it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m not sure if it has been posted but track work on Icon at Blackpool was completed about a week ago.
