2018
I stopped by Six Flags over Georgia last night on my way to some friends for dinner to take a look at the progress on Twisted Cylcone. Needless to say, there isn't much to show.

They have repainted the existing wood to a nice shade of grey and have only done trackwork from the station, up the lift and the first drop. What was most interesting is that the crane on site was not put together and rather was just sitting to the right of the ride. They have a lot of work to do still and I can't imagine this will open before late April or early May.
Wonder if they're counting on it not taking long at all.
I would be criticizing six flags for having a lot left to do whereas the cedar fair RMC's are nearly finished, but Georgia Cyclone operated in 2017 so they have a reason I guess
We have also had an unusually rainy/snowy winter for us down here, so I am sure that has slowed them down.
Also announced this morning is that Great American Scream Machine will be run backward to start the season. They are apparently using the PTC trains from Cyclone for this which should be interesting.
I read that they're looking to open Memorial Day weekend.
Six Flags has been opening all their new rides on Memorial Day weekend for a while now. The exception being Wonder Woman this year.
I think its funny that I still have not been on an RMC and will probably ride Steel Vengeance before I get to ride TC at my home park.
Oak's Park new eurofighter is almost complete.

Definitely a Hydrus clone.
Wonder if they'll incorporate that in the Mario Kart ride at the Nintendo theme park.
I love how they just took skyrush's logo and made it their own
^That's not even the first time it's been done. I wonder if the Skyrush logo was also some sort of stock image?

Oaks Old Pinfari has been put up for sale too btw http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=2078
I wonder how much they want for it.
K2 - New ABC Rides coaster for Karls Erlebnis-dorf
Mmm, that'll have a good capacity.
This coaster is actually almost finished by now:

Worth noting that it will also feature a dark-ride part. More infos.
Has anyone been on one of these ABC rides coasters? Do they ride well?
Judging by this POV of familieactbaan they look pretty darn smooth, actually.
Personally, no. But I will be on one of their flat rides later this year probably.
Six flags Magic Mountain and Six flags Discovery Kingdom just announced they will be switching the parks entirely to solar power. they're going to re-pave the entire parking lot as well as cover it in solar panels and electric car charging stations. they're also stepping up security with a entirely new closed circuit camera systems and operations. The new Magic mountain president seams to really be taking the park in a better direction. hopefully in a couple of years the parks operations will be drastically improved.
you can read more about it here
That's awesome, and not what I would've expected from a Six Flags park. Good on them.
^Glad to see that Valkyria is making good progress:)

I really love to ride the wacky worm coaster at the big carnivals that i go to in the summer and fall if they have one. Much smoother than the very rough Wisdom Orient express coasters that sound like trashcans crashing around.
