This is probably a really dumb question, but I can not for the life of me figure how to make an inverted coaster or other more niche model. Can someone help?

I can not figure out how to achieve the shaping on a Norwegian roll so that the upwards portion of the dive loop is parrallel to the entrance - can somebody help?

I'd like to know if we can edit the coaster track in FVD++, of course, the file is from another software like" no limits 2", it only can be viewed but doesn't do any things.

Can u load it into the NL2 EDITOR ?

If yes, u can extract the PKG file, then u can edit it. (thats what i think)

sry my mistake, i did not explain it clearly. I had exported the coaster track file from no limits 2, and then i had known that FVD0.79 can import the csv file directly (from professional no limits 2). after I imported the csv into FVD, it is a whole track and could not do any edit work(of course I wanna control the force and roll angle). it bothers me all the time.

Tracks made in-game cannot be edited by FVD's editor. They can be imported, but not changed.

thanks for u answer! :( How sad it is, it is a true thing that we do not have any other methods to use FVD to edit the nolimits2's track? (I only wanna control the G-force and roll angle, that is very useful)

In wanting to control the G-force and angle, you might as well just rebuild the layout in FVD in full.

The reason why it can't be done is there's no way for the program to parametise the layout and turn it into a series of editable functions. With FVD you're finely controlling the heartline, with NL2 you're finely controlling everything but the heartline.

thanks a lot! It is also a great way!

Hello, I'm fairly new to FVD and I have been having trouble making a wing over drop like the one on gatekeeper. If anyone knows how to help me, it would be great.

I haven’t worked on wings that much but what I did is I used a geometric section for the twist then use force sections afterwards.

is there anyway to get these parts to blend into one another. when i look at the pov its pretty choppy. you can tell when the next roll starts and stops and i wanna make it more continuous. i know i can do that with double bump for two turns, but i wanna do more than two. i know if i use cubic or quintic i can do this, but it itsn't easy to work with. idk any suggestions?

Someone knows coaster stats youtube channel. I check the measurements of monster at walligator park. That thing pulls serious lateral force. The corscrews at the end pulls 1.26 lateral Gs, thats insane! I check on other forums and it is completly normal to experience 0.5 to 0.75 lateral Gs when cornering at high speeds with a regular car. Some laterals are not avoidable in real life. So this recreation is right about the lats.

Hello, I wonder how can I get the "to zero" in my roll options. It seems to be really useful and I don't know if that's normal if I don't find. Thanks !

ROLL HANDLING PROBLEM

Hello dear no limits central community,

I am facing an issue in fvd++. Probably I am not first to tackle this problem but I couldn't find an immediate post about it - so please forgive me if I am not the first person to ask.

Problem: I find it hard to stop the rolling of track, especially if I want to transfer to a straight section. I usually try to use the quartic function but figured that this is limiting and describes more the intamin intimidator305 style, while the quintic function gives me room for much more flexibility, in the style of the modern vekomas. But once I want to force the track to be perfectly leveled out for x time, I fail to get it under control. I saw that a particular version of fvd++ has a "roll to zero“ function that would probably solve all my problems. But I am using the program on my m1 air and couldn't find the version with that function included. Does anyone has an idea of how to fix that handling issue?

Attached some pictures of the issue.

Thanks so much in advance!

It looks like you still have -1 deg/s of roll rate entering the straight section. I'm not sure how you did this with just quartics and quintics, but in general I would always suggest just using either cubic or sinusoidal functions for everything and adjusting the tension and centers to make the shaping more natural and nuanced. This allows you to have far more control over just about every aspect of shaping.

Going back to your question, the "roll to zero" function was experimental for a reason and made the program crash a lot. To get your roll to zero without this (which first requires that you bring the roll rate to zero with a +1 deg/s cubic or sinusoidal function), you just have to just use trial and error. First, get the straight section close to flat with shaping you are happy with. Then adjust the previous roll transition's length, center, and tension until the roll value is at or very close to zero.

Hopefully that helps!

Thanks so much for your detailed help! You were absolutely right in that regard, I just needed to bring back the roll rate to 0 deg/s. Lovely to receive such lovely support here :-)

All the best!

Bumping this because I still have not been able to resolve this issue. I tried emailing the Stephan and received no response.

You need to change your windows DPI settings. Go to the app properties, compatibility, change DPI settings, then set the DPI scaling override to system.
