I do think that is the main problem. If Skyrush's restraints lay flat against the riders' thighs, rather than exerting all the force on one spot on their thighs, it would be fine I think

The ride doesn't seem any more rough than other chinese coasters, but it does have some bizarre transitions - you can even see how bad the transition out of the corkscrew is from the blueprints alone
