Time Rules

  • The 5 hour build period begins on May 16th, 2020 at 4:00 PM GMT when the contest park is available for download.
  • You must build one coaster in the provided contest map.
  • You will have until 9:00 PM GMT (5 hours total) to upload your finished park to a file exchange/download/FTP site and fill out the official entry form with the download information, coaster names, your name, and your email address. Allow yourself spare time to upload your coaster and fill out this form.

Track rules:

  • Even with a short train, dispatch times must be realistic.
  • Use double, separate unload/load, or stations that can load two at once to allow more time for each train to load while still hitting minimum dispatch times.

For reference:
4 riders per train requires a train pass the counter every 12 seconds.
8 riders per train requires a train pass the counter every 24 seconds.
12 riders per train requires a train pass the counter every 36 seconds.
16 riders per train requires a train pass the counter every 48 seconds.

Any weekend in may would be good for me (as there is nothing else to do in the current situation). All later weekends depend on how the lockdown/social distancing is continued.

Yo, is May 31st or Jun 1st good? My graduation is still up in the air, but IK it isnt that late in may, and we might be going on a trip in June.

also, about how long before the contest will the map be revealed (not a specific date). this is my first contest, and I'm pretty excited about this!

The map is revealed 30 minutes before the contest start in a live broadcast on YouTube traditionally full of technical issues and delays. That ensures everyone has a fair chance with limited time to plan on what to do.

And trust me, they happen every year... 🙃

Who is excited? Who is practicing their rapid build and support skills?

Here's a rule reveal: you'll be allowed to use any coaster style you want this year.
