Welcome to Springlake Park!

This competition is all about making the most out of the limited space you are given. Inspired by the new B&M Invert 'Monster' at Gröna Lund, the site you have been given is modest and filled with obstacles. It's not about using all of the space - its about how you use it.

Competition has now ended!

The Brief:

The managers of family-owned small scale amusement park 'Springlake Park' have noticed a sudden increase in visitors and revenue in recent years after the popularity of their large-scale coaster 'Speed!' being installed back in 2013. Therefore the park now has enough funds for a brand new attraction on their disused boating lake.

  • Green: The outer boundary of your coaster
  • Yellow: Location for your station
  • Pink: Supports must not touch the ground in these areas - they must span across
  • Red: Nothing can enter this area
  • Blue: Track must only go underneath the bridge

Rules:

  • Create any coaster you like from the in-game selection only (light pattern creator single-rail coasters are allowed)
  • Coaster can be of any thrill level
  • All track and supports must be located within the green boundary
  • Adhere to the brief above
  • No tunnels: ground not fit for extensive excavation
  • Track can only go over the path with existing netting
  • There is no height limit
  • The in-game station does not need to be used, however ensure that your station is theoretically accessible (e.g. clear on both sides/separate unloading station)
  • Storage is recommended but not required
  • Clearances must be taken into account
  • Scenery of any kind cannot be altered (e.g. foliage moved/removed)
  • No custom scenery, just a coaster
  • Have fun (yes, that's a rule)

Judging:

You will be given a score out of ten on the following:

  • Use of space
  • Layout
  • Quality of track
  • Quality of supports
  • Adherence to rules

The entry with the most points overall will win the competition.

Extra Awards (If applicable):

  • Best Looking Coaster
  • Best Name
  • Most Unique Coaster
  • Strangest Element
  • Strangest Support

Prizes:

The winning entry:

  • will be immortalised in the park on the steam workshop
  • will have a custom station and signage made for it
  • will have a cinematic video with custom soundtrack created for the winner's YouTube channel and/or hosted on my channel with full credit (contestant's preference)
  • will receive a digital certificate announcing their win
  • will receive a custom digital poster of the layout of their ride

Second to tenth and the extra categories will receive a digital certificate with the details of their win too.

The coaster must to go underneath the bridge, does that mean once or all the time? (I managed to fit a non inverting loop around the bridge.)

Ah so I've just realised after uploading that one of my lift supports goes slightly out of the green boundaries by the road...Will I get disqualified for that? lmao

No you won’t be disqualified but won’t get full points for the rules category. You can still fix it and re-upload though before the deadline
