I'm your NAD (New Attractions Daily) reporter, reporting in on this lovely Saturday afternoon. Last month, we received an invitation from Experience Park to join their hard hat tour of their upcoming new experience: Street Race! This tour was organized due to the completion of the tracks. Of course we couldn't ignore this invitation and we gladly accepted this. We have heard their plans for this wild new attraction before, and it's like nothing before ever created!
The ride is, as the name suggests, based after a street race. Two opponents try to race each other, but are soon spotted by the police. The moment they notice, they immediately split up and try to chase off the police car, whom has called backup assistance. This exciting ride is split into two different experiences: a thrill side for those thrillseekers, and a family side for a little bit more gentle, yet still exciting, ride. At the end when you break free from the cops, you meet each other at the end of the race course. Who is the ultimate winner of this race?
Personally, this sounds like an exciting ride. We cannot wait for it to open! However, the construction is far from done. Today, we are on the construction site to report on the progress of the roller coaster. Experience Park scheduled the tour for today, because the construction crews are placing the very last piece of track. Let's hope it fits! We were met by our tour guide at the entrance of the park with a cup of coffee or tea, and when everyone was present, we would go to the construction site. Upon approaching, we see the massive spaghetti of tracks in front of us. Our host mentioned the track has a total length of 1600 meters, which is insane for an indoor coaster. However, it should be noted that this is actually two coasters in one. Due to the size of the roller coaster, the show building will be massive as well. The host guaranteed us that "the building will be greatly themed to fit into the area, will be of modern building standards and around the size of the Harry Potter attractions in Universal, except that this is a roller coaster". Sounds promising. The roller coaster has a maximum height difference of 12 meters.
The track has a black color to be as disguised as possible within the indoor environment.
So many turns at different heights! I wonder how this is gonna feel on board of a ride vehicle.
A look underneath the launch track. Each ride will feature a total of three rides, of which one backwards. This adds up to a total of six launches on this attraction!
So much steel. It's going everywhere and it's very hard to follow the track to get a general idea on the layout.
The track is huge if you're standing next to it. Our tour guide had a special surprise for us, as we were allowed to stand on a place of track!
I can't explain how excited this picture makes me.
After the tour around the tracks, our tour guide guides us away to the side of the construction site, because the crew has to place the last piece of track. It fits in wonderfully! We had a lunch organized by the park and we got some details from our tour guide. We won't spoil anything for now, but will tease within the next few updates!
What's your guess? How many vehicles will be active on this coaster during normal operation hours? This includes trains on the course, in the station, brakes, but not trains moved to the side in the storage. Let us now in the comments below!
Thank you for reading our New Attractions Daily report and thank you for the staff at Experience Park for this wonderful tour. We hope to be back again soon with another update.
