Help: steel supports with wood catwalks and railings

I figured out how to make the support structure into H beams, but when I go to add the catwalks and railings, it doesn’t work properly. If I leave enable supports on, it overlaps wood supports with the preexisting steel ones. If I leave it off, the railing ends up floating over the catwalk. Is there anything to do?

Never mind, I figured it out. I had to add the catwalks before the railings. It’s kind of weird that it works like this, possibly a bug.

Actually, can’t replicate that fix, so it’s still an issue
