The Lost History of Saltair:
Sorry it’s been awhile!
I've been hard at work writing. I received several suggestions that I should expand the scope of the book to be about the resort as a whole. After doing some thinking about it I decided that would be the best way to go. The last book written about Saltair was written over 30 years ago and this year of 2018 is the 125th anniversary of the resort. Which makes a perfect time to release a new book about Saltair. My book will be much more in detail then the book written 30 years ago. There will facts and figures never before discussed before and have been lost until now. It will explain where the name of Saltair came from, the resorts that came before it and then how Saltair came to be. The new working title is the Lost History of Saltair. It will still contain all the information on the roller coasters. I am hoping to have it finished and released by July 4th. I will work on being better at keeping all you awesome donors in the loop. Because thanks you awesome donors I have been able to gain access to images of the resort and of the roller coasters that have never been published before.

The Lost History of Saltair: Progress April 9, 2018
I haven't posted lately about my project. I want to let everyone know, who is interested, that I am still very much working on it. Hoping for a late 2018 release. I thought I had gathered all the research I could find and as has been the norm in this project when ever I hit a plateau of thinking I have found out all I could I discover a new treasure trove of information I must dig into. I want this to be the most researched and the best coverage the Saltair Resort ever received. I am actively researching and writing the book at the same time. My research is several years a head of where I am writing in the book. Once the book is completed I will use it as a guide for filming the rest of the documentary. The book and the documentary will be a companionship meant to be used together however one could just watch the film without reading the book and vice versa. I will recommend watching the documentary and also reading the book as both will in the end give you a new look at Saltair and what it really was and not what most believe it was. I can tell you most of what you hear about Saltair is hogwash. This will be the best coverage Saltair has ever received.
Just an quick update for those who might be interested.
61 years ago today August 29, 1957 at 5pm the Giant Racer at Saltair was lost to a freak 75 mph micro-burst off the Great Salt Lake. Learn more about this tragedy in my upcoming book and documentary, The Lost History of Saltair. Coming soon!
Happy New Year! 2018 is here! Its been awhile since I've given an update and a new forum and such so here we go.
Update: Progress is coming along great!
After talking to family and close friends it has been decided that the project will not solely be focused on the coasters of Saltair but all the whole resort. Its been over 30 years since someone has done a serious, historical look into Saltair and I do not feel Saltair's history has been told properly before. All information regarding the roller coasters is still intact and nothing in that regard is being removed from the project. There will be No Limits recreations of the coasters, in the video portion with images ad blue prints created from them in the book as well.
I am looking at a Summer 2018 release of both the book and the documentary.The documentary will not be immediately put online as the plan is to show it to small historical and other groups first. The book is now at more than 60 pages along with 18 pictures secured for use right now with more on the way with at least eight images never before seen or published before.
The fundraiser to publish the book has been fully funded. Thanks to all the donors!
