Scaleable Build Shapes - The NL2 Theming Revolution

Since NL 2.5.7.0 it is possible to set texture scaling based on the Object position, this allowed me to create a build system in NL2 which enables you to use a flexible range of shapes with modern physically based material texture maps on them in an extremely flexible fashion to create astonishing Theming for NL2 parks very quickly in a way it was never possible before.

Unlike abusing supports for Scenery you see what you instantly see what you get and there is a large variation of materials included, which are recolorable and customizable as well, this already allows hundreds of variations already!

You can download it by subscribing the item in the Steam Workshop already.

Oh wow, nice work Dani. That's really neat. Great for those who can't 3d model their own things, or for those of us who can, but are too lazy or don't feel like doing it at the time, hahaha.

I've been eager to use these, but cannot figure out how to download them on Steam. I subscribed to the item, but there did not appear to be a "download" button or link. Could anyone help me out?

P.S. I'm new to Steam

Once you “subscribe” to it, open NL2 through Steam and open the editor. Open the “load park” window and there should be a menu tab on the left that says “workshop”. In those folders, you should find all the parks you have subscribed to. You can load the park and then unpackage it to get all the files

Having the Steam version of NL2 is fine. In fact, you need it to access anything on the Steam workshop. Just to clarify, when you subscribe to a park on the workshop, Steam automatically downloads it. You can then open the park through the NL2 load park interface. Just remember, NL2 parks are stored on the Workshop as a NL2 package. Packages are just a single file that contains all the file information that goes into a park. To get all the files, you have to load the park and then go to File->Extract Package. This is how you get all the scenery object files.

Edit: NL3, haha. Fat fingers
