Hello!

Welcome to the construction thread on mine and Thrillspot (and now Olmisery!)'s latest project, Golden Plains. This park is a Cedar Fair property located somewhere in the Great Plains (we haven't landed an exact location yet). Its main inspirations come from many different Cedar Fair parks, mainly Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Carowinds. There are a planned 13 coasters in Golden Plains total, with 4 of them complete. The 9 remaining coasters, however, are still under construction and will be shown when they are good enough to post here.

Now, we do need some help with this project. We are currently looking for somebody to make new 2nd Gen Dive Coaster trains for our dive coaster, Peregrine. If you'd like to take up the offer, please PM me or Thrillspot. Full credit will be given on the eventual download page and in the park.

We hope you enjoy looking at the images and we look forward to any feedback you might have!

Here is the full overview of what we have in Golden Plains so far. We'd love to have suggestions for what we should do in between the grass area of Peregrine and Corkscrew (Red and Green Arrow coaster). The floorless coaster in the back is not quite ready to showcase yet, we'll be posting more of it when we get more stuff done in that area.

Closer look at Peregrine. Lift and drop motors were graciously given to us by jpaufsc (thanks again!).

Here is Apache, our inverted coaster.

This is Corkscrew, the arrow we mentioned earlier. Heavy WIP atm.

Here is the full layout. This ride can be compared to Valravn @ CP.

This is the ride that started it all. Can be compared to Raptor @ CP.

Nice angle of Corkscrew from Peregrine's plaza. Can be compared to Carolina Cyclone @ Carowinds.

This is the Peregrine plaza as I mentioned before.

This is the gift-shop for Peregrine. The building itself is final, the inside is heavy WIP. The blue boxes that are to the side are lockers.

A shot of the newly built Peregrine midway connecting the main path to the Apache plaza. Peregrine dominates this path and gives very nice angles of the coaster.

The rest of the screenshots are glamor shots. We hope you like them!

Currently my (Pupper's) favorite angle in the park right now. Hopefully more great angles will pop up as we complete more of the park!

The iconic Corkscrew shot.

Closer angle of Peregrine's trains. Again, if you would like to make new trains for our ride, please PM me or thrillspot at any time.

The story for this park will all be revealed at another time. If you have any constructive criticism, please leave a reply below. Thanks so much!

This looks really excellent. Two thumbs way up. Love the invert design...particularly how you didn't feel the need to cram an element every single second. Instead you took some time to give riders a breather in an original way, like between the immelman and the MCBR. I also liked how you were able to weave different sections of track together in a way that B&M might. Great job.

Hate to say It as your rival park but it looks incredible. Keep it up its no fun without good competition!

Update Number 1

Hello everyone! Long time no updates. Sorry 'bout that. Promise it won't happen again.

Before we get started, we want to welcome the newest member to our project, Olmisery!
Olmisery will be a helping hand in forming this park into something super special. He has already contributed a great amount of work in the park, with most notably a GCI roller coaster named RAMPAGE (name subject to change)!
We're very excited to have him on the team and we look forward to his awesome additions to the park.

Now, let's get down and DIRTY!

Logos

First off, this isn't a Cedar Fair Park without its Cedar Fair Logo, right? So we made one!

Hope it looks good. If anyone wants the font, PM me and I'll give you the name of it.
Now, of course, we can't forget about the waterpark too (yes we're building a waterpark as well)!

Of course, I'm still working on this one (mostly the G as it's kinda pissing me off), but its pretty much done. We can't wait to plaster these things all over.

Screenshots

So, there is a LOT to show. Please keep in mind that all of this is HEAVY WIP, so you are going to see a lot of unfinished areas/rides. Nonetheless, we hope you like what we have so far!

First off, we are now a little bit more comfortable in showing off Inferno, so here are a few screenshots of it. This is a B&M floorless coaster featuring 6 inversions, a 160 foot lift hill, and a length of 4117 feet, making it the 2nd longest floorless coaster in the world!

We also have another new coaster to show off! Here is Timber Mountain, our Dinn woodie. Currently in our park, it has the reputation for being really bad. Olmisery happily did the bracing for this ride and we think it looks awesome! We will have more updates on this woodie ASAP.

Our last ride we have is the one we mentioned earlier, the GCI woodie named Rampage. This thing is inspired by Renegade, Mystic Timbers, and Goldstriker. Again, heavy WIP.

Conclusion

So, that's all for now. Not too much has happened to Peregrine, Apache, and Corkscrew, so we're holding those off on updates for now. We'll show those three off hopefully at a later time. We hope that you enjoyed this update, and we can't wait to show you guys even more new things. With Olmisery on the team, we hope we can get a lot more done faster. If you have any constructive criticism, please make sure to leave a comment as usual. Until next time!

PS: We are still looking for someone to help make Peregrine's 2nd gen dive trains. If you're interested, please contact me or Thrillspot. Thanks!

Hello everyone!

I'd just like to bump the thread and mention that we are still hard at work on Golden Plains. We are acutely aware that it has been a bit, haha. Unfortunately we are on a hiatus until further notice due to me having some personal stuff going on, but we should be back by the end of the week.

For further information, and actual proper updates on the park, please check our new Instagram page, @goldenplainspr. We're much more active on there, as opposed to here.

Thanks for reading, and we should be posting a formal NLE update very soon.
