Nolimits 1 style vertex
If you have one vertex with "strict" checked in between two that aren't checked that's kinda like the old style vertices.
Ive tried this and it work a bit but its very tedious, it had a lot of actions for each vertex and add weird artifact on the forces, isnt just a way to get the easy old style ?
the easiest way to get the old style you want would be to make your ride in NL1 and just import it into nl2. the old style is the "old" style because it will cause those artifacts in the forces because it's just not as good of a method to use in the first place. as far as whether or not that mode can be "enabled" in nl2, the answer is no.
One trick going from NL1 to NL2 is you have to unlearn how to build NL1 style to then get used to NL2's style. I went through what you're going through when trying it out for the first time. While it takes some getting used to, in the end you can get much smoother results with fewer vertices, and since you only move the vertices around without controlling the handles, it's faster with fewer clicks.

I search for a bit and i cant find any info about this anywhere, i'm an old school Nolimits builder and learned on version 1.x. Now i coming back into it with the version 2 and the editor changed a bit, one thing i miss a lot is the vertex from nolimits 1 with the 3 balls that allow to change the direction and tilt of each connection, is there a way to activate it in nolimits 2 or the option is not available at all ?
Thank you for your help
here is a pic of what im talking about
