Tempe Lakeside Park
This is a theoretical park I created that could be a flagship park in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
(I am terrible at theming NL2 parks so forgive me for the lack of theming. This park is mostly about the idea.)
The Land and Location:
It is located at the corner of McClintock Drive and Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe. It is bordered on two sides by roads, one side by undeveloped land, and the other by Tempe Town Lake. The site used to be the Carson Golf Course, but it has sat vacant for a few years now. The site is next to Tempe Marketplace and close to Arizona State University. It is near two freeways, the Loop 101 and the Loop 202, and is close to the airport. It is also very centrally located in Phoenix. Across Rio Salado Parkway is more of the old golf course which would be used for parking. There is a tunnel under the road that connects where the park is with the parking.
My Park:
I went for a roller coaster heavy park that would cater more to teens and up. It would have 5 themed lands, and entrance plaza, and a parking lot. The park has 12 roller coasters, 2 of which are kids coasters and 1 which is a mine train coaster. The centerpiece of the park would be a large observation tower with restaurant called the Desert Diamond which is 504 ft tall. There are two lakes in the park, one which is leftover from the golf course and one that would be built for the park. The park would be ring shaped with bridges and tunnels connecting the park together. There would be a concert stage and arena that could host nighttime shows. There would also be flat ride and other attractions throughout the park.
Lands:
1. Tempe Plaza
The main plaza in the park which is themed to a midway and whose centerpiece is the Desert Diamond Tower.
2. Coaster Bay
A land themed to roller coasters which sits around the central lake of the park.
3. The Underground
